AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 30-1-26 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to giving
false information.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 30^1-26 of the Revised Ordi
•
nances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to giving false
information to an officer, bed and the same hereby is, amended
as follows:
"Sec. 30-1-26. Unlawful to give false information.
It shall be unlawful for any person to knowingly and
willfully conceal or attempt to conceal his identity,
falsely identify himself, or furnish or give false or
misleading information to a police officer who is in
the lawful discharge of his official duties."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners it
is necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the inhabitants
of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah, this 29th day of July 1975.
