AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX and for the assessment of pro-
perty in Paving District No. 31 (Paving Extension No. 152) for the
purpose of grading, constructing drainage system to carry water
across and along streets and intersections, installing water services
and sewer connections to edge of pavement, and paving with concrete.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners o' Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of
the same upon the property hereinafter described in Paving District
No. 31 (Paving Extension No. 152) for the purpose of grading, con-
structing drainage system to carry water across and along streets
and intersections, installing water services and sewer connections
to edge of pavement, and paving with concrete, to-wit:
Lots 1, 10, 11 and 14 to 16 incl., Blk. 43; Lots
1 to 5 incl. Blk. 1, Lots 1 to 5 incl. Blk. 2 Forest Dale Plat
A; Lots 1 and 23 to 42 incl. Blk. 14, Lots 1 and 23 to 42 incl.
Blk. 5, Lots 1 and 17 to 30 incl. Blk. 8, Lots 1 to 5 incl.
Blk. 16, Lots 1 to 7 incl. Blk. 17, Forest Dale Sub. of Blk.
43, 10 Acre Plat A, Lots 3, 4, 5 and 9, Blk. 44; Blk. 9 Forest
Dale Sub.; Lots 2 to 22 incl. Blk. 11, Lots 2 to 32 incl. Blk.

21st and 27th South Streets, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of grading,
constructing drainage system to carry water across and along
II streets and intersections, installing water services and sewer
connections to edge of pavement, and paving with concrete ( said
pavement to be 2-12.95 foot strips from 110 feet south of 21st
1 South street to 10 feet south of Driggs Avenue, and from 263.56
feet south of Driggs Avenue to 27th South Street; and 35-foot
strip, double track, from 21st South Street to 110 feet south,
and from 10 feet south of Driggs Avenue to 263.56 feet south of
Driggs Avenue) and all of said pavement to be of Portland Cement
concrete 7 inches thick, the portions of said street opposite
the property hereinbefore and hereinafter described to be especial y
affected and benefited by said improvement, and it is hereby ad-
judged, determined and established that said property will be
especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby

SECTION II. That the assessment list made by the City
Treasurer, as corrected, approved and completed by the Board of
Equalization and Review of the property described in Section I
of this ordinance in Paving Extension No. 152 of Salt Lake City,
for the purpose of grading, constructing drainage system to carry
water across and along streets and intersections, installing water
services and sewer connections to edge of pavement, and paving wit'l
concrete thereof, is hereby confirmed, and the assessments made
and returned in said completed lists, and the report of the
Board of Equalization and Review to the Board of Commissioners
of Salt Lake City, are hereby ratified, approved and confirmed.
SECTION III. Said tax shall be payable in ten equal
yearly installments as provided by law and ordinance with in-
terest on the whole sum unpaid at the rate of six per cent per
annum, payable at the time each installment is due. In the
event any installment or the interest aforesaid is not paid on
the day the same becomes due, the whole amount of the special
tax unpaid at the time said installment and interest are due,

I'. shall become due and payable, and shall draw interest at the rate
of twelve per cent per ai.num until the sale of the property
assessed.
SECTION IV. This ordinance shall take effect one day
after its first publication.
