AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 38-3-9 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to loitering on sidewalks. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That Section 38-3-9 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to loitering on sidewalks, be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows: "Sec. 38-3-9. Loitering on sidewalks. It shallbe unlawful for any person to remain standing, lying or sitting on any sidewalk for a longer period than two minutes, in such manner as to obstruct the free passage of pedestrians thereon, or wilfully to remain standing, lying or sitting thereon in said manner for more than one minute after being requested to move by any police officer, or wilfully to remain on any sidewalk in such manner as to obstruct the free passage of any person or vehicle into or out of any property abutting upon said sidewalk or any property having access to such sidewalk." SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of City Commissioners it is necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first publi- cation.
