AN ORDINANCE

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2 of TITLE 51, of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to zoning ordinance definitions,
by adding thereto a new Section 51-2-42A, defining restaurants.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 2 of Title 51 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to zoning ordinance definitions,
be, and the same hereby is, amended by adding thereto a new Section
51-2-42A, defining the term "restaurant, " to read as follows:
"Sec. 51-2-42A. Restaurant. A building within which there
is served a variety of hot food for consumption on the premises
and where more than sixty (60) percent of the gross volume is
derived from the sale of foods served for consumption on the
premises."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, it is necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the
inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective
immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first publica-
tion.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
