Result AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 5216,6f Chapter L of the Revised � Ordinances of Salt Lake City, U ,-,1944, as re-enacted by an ordinance passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah on April 1, 1947 and known as Bill No. 29 relating to sewers. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Ut.: SECTION 1: That Section 5216 of Chapter L of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1944, as re-enacted by an ordinance passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah on April 1, 1947 and known as Bill No. 29 relating to sewers be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "SECTION 5216: The inspection of sewer connections between the main sewer and three feet outside of the building line shall be under the direction of the City Engineer by duly authorized inspectors. He shall be notified at least four hourin advance by the plumber. that the connection is complete and ready for inspection. The entire In) CC length of the sewer connection, including the "Y" at the main sewer, shall be fully exposed. If any portion of the work is not done in accordance with these ordinances and the instructions of the City Engineer, or his inspectors, it shall be rectified promptly. No backfilling shall be done until the inspection is made and the work accepted. No certificate of inspection shall be issued until the work is entirely satisfactory. "In the event that the inspector finds the connection not complete, or if any changes necessary require another inspection, a charge of 2.00 shall be collected for each additional inspection. "Survey stakes set by the City Engineer for the sewer connec- tion must not be disturbed, removed or covered. In the event that the stakes are not available for the inspector to check the pipeline, 85 he may refuse to make an inspection of the work ii until stakes have been reset by the City Engineer and a fee of , 3.00 has been paid by the plumber for it such work."
