An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of property
an the north side of Second South Street from Tenth Nast Street to
*cClelland Avenue, and on both sides of McClelland Avenue from Sec-
ond South Street to First South Street, in Sewer District No.1 ,
for the construction ofa sewer.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the City Council does hereby levy the tax and
provide for the assessment of the name upon the property hereinafter
described in Lots 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7, Block 29, Plat "F", Salt Lake
City Survey, abutting on the north side of Second South Street be-
*ween Tenth East Street and MeClelland Avenue, and on both sides of
McClelland Avenue between First South and Second South Streets, in
lower District No. 1, said property having a frontage of 1542 feet
along said streets.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing a
sewer upon said portions of said streets opposite the property here-
inafter described to be especially affected and benefited by said
improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established
that the same will be espceially benefited thereby to the full
amount o f the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby
assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with the linear
foot frontage upon said portions of said streets fronting upon and
Mit to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the tax
hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is one
thousand two hundred and fifty-seven and 60/100 ($1,257.60) dollars,
or one and 30/100 ($1.30) dollars on wide streets, and 70/100
($0.70) dollars on narrow streets per front or linear foot, which is
the estimated total cost and estimated cost per linear foot of said
sewer, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess
in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance for the purpose
herein mentioned:

Fronting on Second South Street, all of Lot 4, and the west
132 feet of Lot 3, Block 29, Plat "P".
Fronting on McClelland Avenue, the north 305 feet of Lot 3,
and the south 305 feet of Lot E 6, all of Lot 2, and the south 305
feet of Lot 7, Block 29, Plat "F", Salt Lake City Survey, as the
same are shown upon the official plats of acid City to a depth of
twenty-five (25) feet back from said streets, end to collect said
tax.
SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent as follows:
One-third thereof shall become delinquent in one month after
the approval of this levy; one-third in two months after said appro-
val, and one-third in three months after said approval. Each and
every installment of said tax except the first, shall draw interest
at the rate of seven per cent per annum from date of levy, and all
said installments shall bear interest at the rate of ten per cent
per annum from date of delinquency.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
