AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Sections 49-6-51 and 49-6-52 of the
Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to water
meter rates.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Sections 49-6-51 and 49-6-52 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to water meter
rates, be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 49-6-51. Meter rates. The rates for water supplied
through meters to all places will be as follows:
Inside the corporate limits of the City: 16 cents per 100
cubic feet of water served through each service connection;
Outside the corporate limits of the City: 24 cents per 100
cubic feet of water served through each service connection.
"Sec. 49-6-52. Minimum charge. The minimum charge for
each water service connection shall be based on meter size
used, as follows:

The minimum charge for meters larger than 10" shall be based pro-
portionately on meter capacity as determined by the Superinten-
dent of Waterworks.
Charges for meters installed to monitor firelines shall be subject
to special charges under a contract to be approved by the Board
of Commissioners of Salt Lake City."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, it is necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the
inhabitants of said city that this ordinance become effective immediately.

publication.
