Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That Section 25-5-12 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, 'Utah, 1965, relating to callback pay for City employees, be, and the same hereby is, amended as follows: Sec. 25-5-12. Callback pay. Employees who have been released from normally scheduled work and standby periods who return to work upon direction of an appropriate department head or designated representative, without advance notice or scheduling, shall receive the following compensation: Employees within the Police Unit - two (2) hours compensation on such occasions as they actually report to work. Employees within the Operations and Maintenance Unit - A three (3) hour straight-time pay premium and a guaranteed minimum of four (4) hours work or straight time pay there- for. Employees within the Clerical Unit - A guaranteed minimum of three (3) hours work or straight-time pay therefor. SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, it is necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first publication.
