AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 51-5-7 of the zoning ordinances of
the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, by adding thereto a new
paragraph 5, pertaining to circular driveways.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Sec. 51-5-7 of the zoning ordinances of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to front yard exceptions,
be, and the same hereby is, amended by adding thereto a new paragraph 5
pertaining to circular driveways.
"Sec. 51-5-7. Front yard exceptions. * * *
"(5) Circular driveways shall be permitted in required front
yard areas of single family dwellings leading to and from a properly
located garage or carport on the property subject to the following
conditions:
A. All such drives shall be of concrete construction.
B. Such drives shall not be over twelve (12) feet in width.
C. There shall be an area in landscaping at least fifteen
(15) feet in depth from the front property line to the
farthest edge of the drive.
D. Driveway areas are not to be used for the parking or
storage of any trailer, boat or other equipment at
any time, nor is the area to be used for overnight
or permanent parking of any vehicle."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners it is neces-
sary for the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City
that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
4th day of August, 1966.
