An ordinance amending Section 1025 of Chapter 45 of the
Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1913, relating to
drunkenness.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 1025 of Chapter 45 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1913, relating to drunkenness,
be, and the same is hereby amended so as to read as follows:
SECTION 1025. DRUNKENNESS AND DRINKING INTON:ICP.TING
LIQUOR IN PUBLIC A MISDEIrANOR. Any person who shall in any
street or alley, public place, restaurant, hotel lobby or
parlor, or in or upon any passenger coach, street car, or
upon any other vehicle commonly used for the transportation
of passengers, or in or about any depot, platform, waiting
station or room, or at any public gathering, drink any
intoxicating liquors of any kind, or shall be drunk or
intoxicated, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor.
SECTION 2. Any person violating any of the provisions of
said Section 1025 as amended, shall, upon conviction thereof, be
punished by a fine of not more than d;299.00, and not less than
y$50.00, or by imprisonment in the City Jail for not less than
thirty days nor more than six months, or by both such fine and
imprisonment.

SECTION 3. It is necessary that this ordinance become
Ioperative immediately upon first publication, for the preserve-
! tion of the peace and safety of the citizens of Salt Lake City.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
first publication.
