AN ORDINANCE LEVYING TEE TAX AND FOR THE ASSESSMENT OF PROPERTY
ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF SOUTH TEMPLE STREET BETWEEN NINTH AND TENTH EAST
STREETS, FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SEWER UPON SAID STREET.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF SALT LAKE CITY, THAT
Section 1. Said City Council doth hereby levy the tax and provide for
*he assessment upon the property hereinafter described, abutting on the
south side of South Temple Street, between Ninth and Tenth East Streets,
within Sewer District No. 1.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing a sewer
upon said portion of said street, opposite the parcels of land hereinafter
described, to be especially affected and benefitted by said improvement,
and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established that the same will
be especially benefitted by said improvement to the amount of the wsess-
ment hereby levied, and raid parcels of land are hereby assessed at an
equal and uniform rate in accordance with the lienear foot frontage upon
that portion of said street to be improved, fronting upon and of a depth
of twenty-five feet bank from said street, and the tax hereby levied and
to be assessed upon said parcels of land is Eight Hundred Fifty-eight
Dollars, or one dollar and thirty cents per linear foot abutting upon said
portion of said street, and the City Treasurer is hereby authorized and
empowered to assess in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance and
for the purpose herein mentioned, all of the north twenty-five feet of
Lots 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 59, Plat "B" Salt Lake City Survey, as the same
are shown upon the official plats of Salt Lake City.
Sec. 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval. 7/
