An ordinance to amend the ordinance "Providing for the
prevention of the befouling of any waters running to, or used by
the inhabitants of Salt Lake City; and providing penalties for the
violation of the same" approved September 26, 1900.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, State
of Utah:
SECTION I. That section one of said ordinance be, and the
same is hereby amended so as to"read . as follows:

PROVIDED, however, that the highway known as Emigration
Canyon and the approaches thereto shall not be closed to cattle, sheep
horses or hogs which are being driven through the said county, but
•
all such cattle, sheep, horses or hogs when so driven through said
Emigration Canyon or the approaches thereto, shall not camp along
the stream in said Emigration Canyon but shall be driven through
said Emigration Canyon with all convenient dispatch and as far from
the stream in said canyon as practicable.
