AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Sec. 18-25-58 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1966, as enacted by Bill No. 4 of 1967, relating
to miscellaneous health regulations and providing for removal of
abandoned motor vehicles from private property.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That Sec. 18-25-58 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City, Utah, 1965, as enacted by Bill No. 4 of 1967, relating to
miscellaneous health regulations and providing for removal of abandoned
motor vehicles from private property, be, and the same hereby is,
amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 18-25-58. Removal of abandoned motor vehicles from
private property. Abandoned motor vehicles, as referred to
in Sec. 18-25-53, situated on private property may be removed
therefrom, by, or at the instance of, the Police Department
upon written request to said department of the owner of said
private property. The said property owner shall pay all towing
and other charges directly to the party removing the abandoned
vehicle."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners it is
necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the inhabitants of Salt
Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 7TH day of March , 1967.
