AN ORDINANCE LEVYING :. TAX and fo the asaeoameat of proper-
ty in Sewer District No. 1 (Sewer Extension No. 401) for the purpose
of constructing a sewer.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Doafd of Conmdsaioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the
same upon the property hereinafter described in Sewer District
No. 1 (Sewer Extension No. 401) for the purpose of constructing a
sewer, to-wit:
In Lots 3, 2 and 7 of Blk. 17, Plat B, Salt Lake
City Survey, abutting on both sides of Lake Street running
south 270 ft. from the center line of Blk. 17, Plat B and
the east side of Lake street running 169.83 ft. north from
the center line of Elk. 17, Plat B,
This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing
and laying sewer laterals of first-class vitrified pipe eight (8)
inches in diameter, upon the portions of said street opposite the
property hereinbefore and hereinafter described to be especially
affected and benefited by said improvement and it is hereby adjudged,
determined and established that said property will be especially
benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied and
said parcels of land are hereby assessed at a uniform rate in ac-
cordance with the linear foot frontage upon said portions of said
streets fronting upon and. to the entire depth of said parcels of land

back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon
said parcels of land is Twelve hundred Seventy-five and 51/100
(41275.51) dollars; Seven Hundred ighty-three (4783) dollars or
One and 45/100 (41.45) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting
property for half rate, there being 540 ft. abutting said improvement,
and Pour Hundred Ninety-two and 51/100 (:492.51) dollars or Two
and 90/100 (: 2.90) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting
property for full rate there being 169.83 feet abutting said im-
provement, which is the total abutters'cost and cost per front foot
of said sewers accordinz to the contract entered into for the per-
formance of said work and making said improvement with Mullins P
Palm, Contractors, dated the 26th day of July, ii. D., 1921, and the
treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess in accordance
with the provisions of this ordinance "or the ueposcs herein men-

are shown upon the official plats of said city to the entire depth
