ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 20-16-2 of the Revised Ordin-
ances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as amended, relating to
secondhand and junk dealer licenses required.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 20-16-2 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as amended, relating to secondhand
and junk dealer licenses required be, and the same hereby is,
amended to read as follows:
Sec. 20-16-2. License required. It shall be unlawful
for any person to operate as a secondhand dealer, second-
hand precious metals dealer, junk dealer, junk collector,
or an antique dealer without first obtaining a license
to do so.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the City Council of Salt Lake
City, it is necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the
inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective
immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
2nd day of September , 1980.
