AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 30-1-2 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City, Utah, 1965, by adding paragraphs relative to Salary Allowance for
Marksmanship Proficiency and Supplementary Allowance for Members of Plainclothes
Division.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 30-1-2 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake
City, Utah, 1965, be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 30-1-2 (a) . Salaries of cadets. The salary of a
cadet shall be One Dollar and Seventy-five cents ($1.75) per
hour, not to exceed a nineteen hour work week, plus a Fifteen
Dollar ($15.00) per month uniform allowance where a uniform is
required."
"Section 30-1-2 (b) . Salary Allowance for Marksmanship
Proficiency. The salary of all officers of the Police Depart
ment shall be an additional Five Dollars ($5.00) per month,
provided they qualify and maintain a rating of Expert with a
pistol on the pistol range."
"Section 30-1-2 (c) . Supplementary Clothing Allowance for
Members of Plainclothes Division. In addition to the regular
clothing or uniform allowance, the members of the Plainclothes
Division will receive the sum of Ten Dollars more per month."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners it is necessary
to the health, safety and welfare of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City, Utah,
that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners this 16th day of August, 1966.
