AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 9-1-7(b) of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1955, as amended by Bill No. 16 of 1959, re-
lating to general dance regulations and particularly the hours for
dancing.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 9-1-7(b) of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1955, as amended by Bill No. 16 of 1959, relating
to general dance regulations and particularly the hours for dancing, be,
and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows:
"Section 9-1-7. General Dance Regulations.

(b) It shall be unlawful for any person to conduct or
maintain any dance licensed by this chapter between the
hours of 1:00 o'clock A. M. of any week day and 8:00
o'clock A. M. of the same day or between the hours of 1:00
o'clock A. M. Sunday and 8:00 A. M. of the following
Monday; provided, however, as exceptions to the foregoing
requirements, that on New Year's Day dancing may be per-
mitted to continue after 1:00 A. M. until 2:00 A. M. on
any day of the week except Monday and provided further
that when New Year's Day falls on Monday, dancing may be
permitted from 12:01 A. M. to 4:00 A. M."

this 30th day of October , 1961.
