Greener : Harmsen7 -Aar if Harrison Phillips......... �_- AN ORDINANCE Result AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 2-15-3, Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to firearms and explosives on the Airport. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,'. Utah: SECTION 1. That Section 2-15-3, Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to firearms and explosives on the Airport, be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows: "Sec. 2-15-3. Firearms and explosives. No person except authorized peace officers, post office, customs, express and air carrier employees, members of the armed forces of the United States or members of the National Guard, on official duty, shall carry any loaded or un- loaded firearm, explosive, ammunition or inflammable material on the concourse or any other restricted area at the airport without the written permission of the airport manager; provided, however, such permission need not be obtained for an unloaded firearm being delivered for shipment by air freight and being delivered directly to the air freight office and the baggage make up area. Specific authorization may be given by the commissioner for the use of firearms for the elimination of hazards to aircraft or to the public." SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners, it is necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first publication. Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this loth day of July, 1974.
