AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 19-1-10 (7) of the Revised Ordinances
Of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1955, relating to the presence of persons under
the age of twenty-one (21) years in premises licensed for the sale of
beer and the consumption of beer or intoxicating liquor by such persons
in such premises.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That subsection (7) of Section 19-1-10 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, i955, relating to the presence of
persons under the age of twenty-one (21) years in premises licensed for
the sale of beer and the consumption of beer or intoxicating liquor by such
persons in such premises, be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as
follows:
"Section 19-1-10 (7). It shall be unlawful for any person under
the age of twenty-one (21) years to enter or be in or about any
premises licensed as a CLASS "C", CLASS "D" or CLUB establishment
pursuant to this Chapter, or to drink beer.or any intoxicating liquor
,.. ,in such licensed premises. It shall also be unlawful for any licensee
i of a CLASS "C", CLASS "D" or CLUB establishment, or any operator,
agent or employee thereof, to permit any person under the age of
twenty-one (21) years to remain in or about such licensed premises."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners, it is
necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake
City, Utah, that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication .
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 12th day of November , 1959.
