AN ORDINANCE

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 25-14-7, of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to fees charged for work per-
formed by the City Engineer's office.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 25-14-7 of the Revised Ordinances of .,
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to fees charged by the City
Engineer's office, be, and the same hereby is, amended as follows:
"Sec. 25-14-7. Fees. (a) * * *.
" (b) The City Engineer shall be allowed to charge and
demand in advance for the benefit of the city, fees for
design, survey and inspection of any curb and gutter to be
installed at a private property owner's request and expense,
and for tying-in said curb and gutter to the street. How-
ever, if the property to be curbed and guttered is in an
area scheduled for curb and gutter extension under an
improvement district and the property owner agrees to pay
his other assessments, said tie-in fees may be waived at
the City Engineer's discretion. The exact amount of each said
fee shall be fixed by the City Engineer in accordance with
the reasonable costs as determined by the nature and amount
of work to be done."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners it is
necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the inhabitants of Salt
Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first pub-
lication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt La City, Utah, this
11th day of July, 1974
