AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 9-3-4 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to dance regulations.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 9-3-4 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to dance regulations, be,
and the same hereby is amended to read as follows:
1 "Sec. 9-3-4. Proscribed hours. it shall be unlaw-
ful for any person to conduct or maintain any dance within
a dance hall licensed by this title or, havingcharge
control thereof, to allow or permit any such dance or
dancing between the hours of 1:00 a.m. (or 2:00ma.n.
daylight savings time, when daylight savings8:00
is
in force and effect in Salt rovidedl,ehowevCityer,Jt ah) and the foregoing
a.m. of the same day; p
notwithstanding, on New Year's Day dancing may be per-
mitted to continue until 2:00 a.m."
I SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners it
is necessary to the peace, health, and welfare of the inhabitants
of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 29th day of August, 1972.
