AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Subsection (a)5 of Section 20-31-7,
of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, relating
to sound amplification devices.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lkke
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Subsection (a)5 of Section 20-31-7 of
the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating
to sound restrictions, be, and the same hereby is, amended as�'
follows:
Section 20-31-7. Restrictions. * * *

5. Between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m.
unless a special permit has been issued by the City
Commission for the use of said sound device or
apparatus pursuant to the provisions of Sec. 32-9-11
of the ordinances of Salt Lake City.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners
it is necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the inhabi-
tants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective
immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah, this 17th day of July, 1974.
