Result AN ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Chapter 1 of Title 5 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to The Uniform Building Code, by adding thereto a new Section 5-1-16, relating to the, number of doors required on all dwellings. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That Chapter 1 of Title 5 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to the number of doors required on all dwellings, be, and the same hereby is, amended by ading thereto a new Section 5-1-16, to read as follows: of Section 3302 "Sec. 5-1-16. The first paragraph of Subsection (a)/of The Uniform Building Code, 1967,edition, adopted by Section 5-1-1, as amended, is amended to read as follows: "(a) Number of Exits. Every building or usable portion thereof shall have at least one exit, and shall have not less than two exits where required by Table No. 33-A, except that all dwellings shall have a minimum of two exits on the main level." SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City it is necessary to the health, welfare and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective inteediately. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first publication.
