97 of 1903 - Ordinance 97 of 1903 – Sidewalk Extension No. 44. AN ORDINANCE . An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of property on the west side of Third East Street between Second South and Fourth South Streets, in Sidewalk District Bo. 20, for the construc tion of a sidewalk. Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That the City Council does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment upon the property hereinafter described abutting on the west side of Third Bust Street between Second South and Fourth South Streets, in Sidewalk Distriot No. 20. This tax is levied to defray the expense of oonstructing a sidewalk upon said portion' of said street opposite the property hereinafter described to be especially sffeoted and benefited by it said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and estab- lished that the same will be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said portion of said street fronting upon and to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet bask therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is ens thousand seven hundred and forty-two and 40/100 ($1742.40) dollars, or one and 32/100 ($1.32) dollars per front or linear foot, and the Treasurer is hereby authorised and espewered to assess in accordance with the provisionsarf this ordinance for the pur _r_pnss * rsia men• tinned, all et lots 1 and 8, bleak 54, and all of lets 1, 6, 7 and 8, block 56, plat "A", Salt Lake City Survey, as the same are shown upon the official plats of said City to a depth of twenty-five (26) feet back from said street.
