An ordinance amending and re-enacting Section 400 of the Re-
vised Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1903.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 400 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City of 1903, be, and the same hereby is amended and re-enacted
so as to read as follows:
SECTION 400. VEHICLES. It shall be unlawful for any per-
son, firm or corporation, to engage in the business of hackman,
passenger carrier, drayman, carter, omnibus driver, piano mover?
expressman or cabman upon the streets of Salt Lake City without
first obtaining a license so to do. -

For a license to run an omnibus $12.50
For a license to run a passenger vehicle drawn
by two or more horses 10.00
For a license to run a passenger vehicle drawn
by one horse 7.50
For a license to run an automobile carrying
not more than four persons 15.00
For a license to run an automobile carrying
more than four persons 20.00
For a license to run a vehicle for carrying
express matter, such vehicle being drawn
by one horse 5.00
For a license to run a vehicle for carrying
express matter, such vehicle being drawn by two
or more horses- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - _ - 6.00
Payable in advance to the beginning of the year next
following the granting of such license, as follows:
For license to run a vehicle for the carrying
of freight, such vehicle to be drawn by
one horse $10.00
For license to run a vehicle for the carrying
of freight, such vehicle to be drawn by
two horses- ;r. 20.00
For a license to run a vehicle for the carrying
of pianos exclusively, such vehicle to be drawn
by one horse - - - 9.00

For a license to run a vehicle for the carrying
of pianos exclusively, such vehicle being drawn
by two or more horses - - - - - - - - - - - - - - $20.00
For a license to run a vehicle for carrying
furniture, or a vehicle for moving household
furniture, such vehicle being drawn by one horse- 12.00
Fora license to run a vehicle for carrying
furnitura, or a vehicle for moving household
furniture', such vehicle being drawn by two
or more horses 25...00
SECTION 2. All ordinayf6es or parts of ordinanced in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
