AN O R D I N A N C E.
t.n ordinance amending chapter 29 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt _Lake City, Utah, 1013, by adding two
Sections to be known as Sections 819X and 819X1, amending 1
Section 820 of said chapter.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of
Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 29 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, be and the same is hereby amended by add- 1
ing thereto the following sections:
819X. It shall be unlawful for any person within 1
the limits of Salt Lake City, to exhibit or expose
to view in any locked, barred or barricaded house
or room, or in any place built or _protected in a
manner to make it difficult of access or ingress to
police officers when three or more persons are
pzesent, any cards, dice, dominoes, fan-tan table,
or ley-out, or any part of such lay-out, or any
gambling table, implement or device whatsoever.
819X1. It shall be unlawful for any persons within the
limits of Salt Lake City, t.o visit or resort to any
such locked, barred or barricaded house or room, or
other place built or protected in a manner to make it
difficult of access or ingress to police officers
when any cards, dice, dominoes, fan-tan table or lay-
out, or any gambling table, implement or device whet-
soever are exhibited or e:=,posed to view when three
or more persons are present.
SECTION 2. That Section 820 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 191S, be and the same is hereby
amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

Section 820. Any person viol<ti-ng any of the
provisions of this Chapter, shall, upon conviction
thereof, be punished by n fine in my cum not ex-
ceeding Fifty Dollars, or by imprisonment in the
City jail for e period not longer than thirty days.
