SECTION 1. That the City Council does hereby levy the tax and
provide for the assessment of the sa:ne upon the property hereinafter
described in Sewer District ado. 2, for the construction of sewers,
to-wit:
In Lots 2 to 25, inclusive, Block 2; 24 and 25, clock 1, funter'F
Subdivision, Block 23; 23 and 24, Block 2; 22 and 24, flock 1, Glenn
Subdivision, Block 23, 2, Klock 3 Edwards' Sub ivyeion, 'flock 23; 5, t
6, 7 and 8, Block 23; 24 to 29, inclusive, Block 2, Ha.rrinfton, Don-
nelly and iTewoll' ; Subdivision, ',Took 23, 12, flock 24; 1 and 9 to 1',
inclusive, Slosh 5; 1 to 6, inclusive, Bleak 1, Coates B Corrun'a bout
Gale Subdivision, ;lock L4; 1 to 6, irolnsive, Bloch 1; 1 to 7, in-
clusive, Stook 5, Ontario Subdivision, Block 24: 15, 16, 17 and 18,
Block 24; 1 to 5, inclusive, Bloch 5, Davis, Sharp c. Strin,<er's Sub-

the south side of finth South Street between fleet Temple and Second
Nest Streets; and on both sides of Second. -,lest Street between iTintf
South Street and Paxton Avenue.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of conetruotinc vitri-
fied pipe sewers ten (10) and. twelve (12) inches in diameter upon the
portions of said streets opposite the property hereinuefore and here-1
ina.ftor described to be especially affected and. benefited by said imt
provenent, and it is hereby adjudEed, determined and established tha ,
said property will be especially benefited thereby to the full amount'
of the tax hereby levied, and said pnrcelr_ of land are hereby assessed
at an enue.l and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot fxontd-
ate upon said portions of said streets frontin ; upon and. to a doptl H

of twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied
and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is six thousand ninety-
eight and 55/100 (ti6098.55) dollars; two thousand forty-three and
66/100 (v72043.66) dollars, or one and 9932209/10,000,000 (:11.9982209)
dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property for sewer on
side of streets, there being 1022.74 feet of abutting property within',
the boundaries of the lots, blocks and streets above mentioned in sail
district; and four thousand fifty-four and 89/100 (";4054.89) dollars,;
or 9991105/10,000,000 (: 0.9991105) dollars per front or linear foot
of abutting property for sewer in center of streets, there being
4058.50 feet of abutting property within the boundarias of the lots,
blocks and streets above mentioned ins aid district, which is the total
cost and cost per front foot of said sewer, according to the contract
entered into for the performance of said work and making said improver
vent with James Kennedy Construction Compeny, dated the 7th day of
February, 1910, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed
to assess in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance for thel
purpose herein mentioned;

Big Field Survey, as the same are shown upon the official plats of
Salt Lake City to a depth of twenty-five (251 feet back from said
streets, and to collect said tax.
SECTIOT 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in five equal
'.yearly installments, with interest on the whole sum unpaid at the rats
of six per cent per annum, payable at the time each installment is
due, to-wit: One-fifth thereof one year after the approval of the
ordinance confirming the levy of the tax for the payment for such im-
provement; one-fifth thereof in two years after such approval; one-
fifth thereof in three years after such approval; one-fifth thereof
in four years after such approval; and one—fifth thereof in five year
after such approval. One or more of said installments, in the order
in which they are payable, or the whole special tax may be paid at any
time within thirty days after the approval of the ordinance confirminf
the levy of the tax, without interest. In the event of any install-
ment or the interest aforesaid not being paid on the date the same
beoomes due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at the time
said installment and interest are due, shall become due and payable,
and shall draw interest at the rate of eieht per cent per annum until
the sale of the property assessed; provided, one or more installmentsy
in the order in which they are enyable, or the whole special tax un- '.
paid may be paid on the day any inutellnent becomes due, by paying ail

the amount thereof and interest to said date.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
