AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 44-6-1, Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to exemptions of certificates
required for the operation of ambulances.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 44-6-1, Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to exemptions of certificates
required for the operation of ambulances be, and the same hereby
is, amended as follows:
Sec. 44-6-1. Exemptions to Title. The provisions
of this title shall not be deemed to have any application:
(a) To any ambulance service performed by Salt Lake
City in any of its departments or to any driver performing
such ambulance service;
(b) To any ambulance service duly licensed by proper
authority anywhere in the State of Utah in bringing into
Salt Lake City and discharging anywhere within Salt Lake
City persons taken on as passengers outside the limits of
Salt Lake City, nor in picking up the same persons in Salt
Lake City for a return to a place located outside the limits
of Salt Lake City.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners, it
is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of
Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 13th day of November, 1969. /
