WHEREAS, F. Mont Ferry departed this life on January
11, 1938, after many years of useful service in Salt Lake City; and
WHEREAS, said W. Mont Ferry was very successful in business
miming and numerous other enterprises and occupied the position of
Mayor of Salt Lake City and he has served in other important public
positions. He was deeply respected and revered by the citizens of
Salt Lake City; and
WHEREAS, his departure is felt a deep loss to the Board
of Commissioners and officials and citizens of Salt Lake City, all
of whom held him in high esteem.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commission-
ers of Salt Lake City that the highest appreciation for the long
service and splendid character of W. Mont Ferry be expressed by the
City of Salt Lake for and on behalf of the officers of said city
and its citizens, all of whom express their sincere sympathy to
Mrs. W. Mont Ferry and members of the family in their bereavement.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be spread
upon the minutes of the hoard of Commissioners and that an engrossed
copy be forwarded to Mrs. Ferry and members of the family.
