Carver departed this life, Saturday, January 29, 1944; and WHEREAS, for the Last twenty-two years he was an honored and respected member of Salt Lake City Fire Department, faithfully and efficiently performing the various duties assigned to him and by reason of such service he contributed measurably to the safety and well being of the inhabitants of this city for which the Board of Commissioners, for itself and in behalf of the citizens of this city, are deeply grateful and appreciative. NOW, THEREFORE, BF TT RESOLVED by the Board of Commis- sioners of Salt Lake City for and on behalf of said Board and of the citizens of said city that said Board does hereby express publicly its appreciation for the long and faithful service which Mr. Carver rendered to the city and hereby extends its sympathy and condolence to his family; that an engrossed copy of this resolution be conveyed to the surviving family of James 0. Carver.
