The members of the City Commission of bait Lake City
mark with sincere sorrow and regret the death of Frederick
hasband, one of Utah's most distinguished citizens, who, dur-
ing his long, full, and active career, served both his State
and Church with vigor, wisdom and great ability.
In the death of irederick Basband the State of
Utah and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
lose one of their ablest and most consistent servants, whose
long career of service is cone-picuousiy marked by a faithful
devotion to the interests of Utah, its citizens and to his
Church.
He was honored by his election to the office of
City Councilman of Park City. He served as State Senator
representing Summit and Wasatch C unties, and also presided
as Bishop of the Park City lard and as President of the
Highland Park bard High Priests quorum for twenty-four
years.
The passing of Frederick hasband will be keenly
felt by his family and those who sought his counsel and
assistance.
It is accordingly hESuLVED that the board of City
Commissioners express its appreciation for the sterling
character, honesty and fortitude of Frederick Gasband, rho
was a most useful citizen of this State for many years, and
does hereby offer condolence and its sincere sympathy to
irayor Earl J. Glade, his wife, and other members of the family
in this hour of trial.
