' Mr.Chairman Result RESOLUTION 1EREAS, the City of Salt Lake City proposes to undertake the construction and lighting of a new North South instrument runway and connecting taxiways on the Salt Lake City Municipal Airport No. 1; and WHEREAS, the Utah National Guard, the Civil Aeronautics Administration and the City of Salt Lake City, Utah have agreed that the estimated cost of the proposed construction amounts to S1,679,550.00, of which costs approximately $597,335.00 is to be contributed by the Utah National Guard. The balance of said costs, amounting to $1,082,215.00, is to be defrayed by a Federal-aid Airport Project sponsored by the City of Salt Lake City, Utah. WHEREAS, as a condition precedent to the initiation of said project, it is necessary to submit a revised Request for Federal Aid to the Civil Aero- nautics Administration to receive a tentative allocation of Federal funds. NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City of Salt Like City, State of Utah: 1. That the Mayor of the City of Salt Lake is authorized and directed to execute said revised Request for Federal Aid 2. The said Request for Federal Aid is as follows: Civil Aeronautics Administration ii683,204.00 3. It is understood that the proposed work shall be undertaken in two stages with estimated costs as follows: Stage No. 1 Land acquisition; necessary grading and drainage; relocation of two County roads City of Salt Lake City, Utah $200,694.00 Civil Aeronautics Administration $334,491.00 _ 2 _ Stage No. 2 Completion of runway and taxiways and lighting thereof City of Salt Lake City, Utth $198,317.00 Civil Aeronautics Administration $348,713.00 The City of Salt Lake City shall submit a project application to the Civil Aeronautics Administration with plans and specifications in sufficient detail to describe the first stage of construction on or before Larch 3, 1952. Upon completion of Stage No. 1, the City of Salt Lake City will submit a new project application to the Civil Aeronautics Administration covering Stage No. 2 of said construction.
