filed and that the City Attorney be directed to

Result RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
a municipal corporation of the State of Utah, by a resolution
dated January 9th, 1936, and known as Resolution No. I, did set
aside,a sortion of the City and. County Building grounds upon which
the school children of Salt Lake City and Salt Lake County were
authorized to erect a flagpole memorial and monument; and
WHEREAS, on the 26th day of March, 1936, the Monument
Committee of the Board of Education of Salt Lake County,'filed
Petition No. 192 of 1936 requesting Salt Lake City to change the
location of said flagpole memorial and monument from the site
set apart therefor by said resolution to a site hereinafter de-
scribed and which is now occupied by a. fountain on the northwest
quarter of said City and County Building grounds; and
WHEREAS, on March 26, 1936, the Board of Commissioners
a
of Salt Lake City granted said reauest and ordered that the fountain
there situated be removed.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the resolution
adopted by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City on the 9th
day of January, 1936, and known as Resolution No. I, be and the
same is hereby vacated and declared null and void and of no further
force and effect; that the following described land being a part of
the City and County Building grounds in Salt Lake City, Utah. and
now dedicated to public use,be and the same is hereby set apart for thf
use of the inhabitants and school children of Salt Lake City for
the purpose of erecting and maintaining a flagpole memorial and
monument, to-wit:
A circular parcel of land having a radiud of 37.5 ft,
the center of which is located 204 ft. south and 119 ft.
east of the northwest corner of Lot 5, Block 38, Plat nAn,
Salt Lake City .purvey.

1 that said flagpole memorial and monument shall be erected and
maintained without cost to Salt Lake City and subject to the ap-
proval of the City Engineer; that appropriate services and memorialI
services by the school children of Salt Lake City and Salt Lake f
County may be conducted upon and around said land whenever conven-,
ient and necessary.
