ESOLUTION
Result
WHEREAS, it is necessary, in order to provide proper,
safe, and adequate facilities for the safe and convenient use
by aircraft of Salt Lake Municipal Airport No. 1, to expand the
said airport to provide additional runways, landing fields,
proper guards and signal devices, and other airport facilities,
and it is to the public interest and for the public benefit
that such expansion be made:
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Commis-
sioners of Salt Lake City that it is necessary and to the public
interest of said City and its inhabitants that the City expand
its Salt Lake Municipal Airport No. 1 to include the land herein-
after described to construct, maintain, and operate thereon
runways, landing fields, guards, signal devices, and other air-
port facilities, all in accordance with plans and specifications
heretofore prepared for and approved by the Board of Commissioners
of Salt Lake City;
That the construction, maintenance, and operation of
said expanded airport facilities be and the same are hereby
authorized;
That the said land hereinafter described, and the whole
thereof, is hereby determined to be necessary and the most suitable
place for the location, construction, maintenance, and operation
of said airport and its facilities as so expanded, and the acquir-
ing of said land by Salt Lake City for such purpose is hereby
declared to be a public necessity and for the good, well-being,
and protection of the inhabitants of said City;

That condemnation proceedings be, and the same hereby are,
authorized to be brought in the name of Salt Lake City by the Legal
Department of Salt Lake City to acquire by such proceedings the land
hereinafter described for the proper and necessary expansion and
use of said Salt Lake Municipal Airport No. 1.
The premises hereinabove referred to and authorized to be
condemned hereunder are situated in Salt Lake County, State of Utah,
and particularly described as follows:
The south half of the northwest quarter of Section
28, Township 1 North, Range 1 West, Salt Lake Base
and Meridian, containing eighty (80) acres more or
less.
