Glade as Finance Commissioner of Salt Lake City, has made written request for additional appropriations and setting forth the emergency necessitating the request, and, WHEREAS, it is necessary to make such additional app- ropriations for the support of the city government for the year 1953, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that an emergency exists and it is necessary to make additional appropriations for the following accounts and departments for the year 1953 and that the following sums of money, or as much thereof as may be necessary, be and the same are hereby appropriated for the support of the various departments indicated for the calendar year ending December 31, 1953. Said appropriations are further itemized in the requests of the several departments for such appropriations , and are in addition to those heretofore authorized and passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City on December 23, 1953, to-wit: City Creek Treatment Plant, $ 70,000.00 Sewage Treatment Plant, 100,000.00 Engineer City Creek Plant, 2,400.00 Special Improvements 110-3, 42,465.00 Special Improvements 160, 20,320.00 Special Improvements 198, 17,952.00 Special Improvements 203, 12,378.00 Public Safety Department, 93,710.00 Water Department, 22,000.00 Street Department, 50,000.00 Total, r, 431,225.00 It is necessary in the opinion of the Board of Commissioners for the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City, Utah, that this resolution take effect upon its passage.
