I i I i /cL'; RESOLUTION WHEREAS, it is necessary to enlarge the .instrument runway it the Salt Bake City Municipal Airport, and to provide for a necessary clear zone area at the north end of said runway, and to construct thereon all necessary components of the instrument landing system (ILS) required by the Federal Aviation Agency] and WHEREAS, the public interest and necessity require the acquisition, construction and completion of the above named public Improvements and WHEREAS, the public interest and necessity require the acquisition of the real property hereinafter described for the above named public improvements; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF,COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CiTY, UTAH, That it' Is necessary and in the public interest of said city and its inhabitants that the city enlarge the facilities of the Salt Lake City Municipal Airport to provide for an extension of the present instrument runway and to provide for the necessary clear zone afea at the north end of said runway, and to construct thereon all necessary components of the instrument landing system (iLS) required by the Federal Aviation Agency, all in accordance with the plans and`specifications heretofore prepared for and approved by the' Board of Commissiondrs of Salt Lake City. That the enlargement of the facilities of the Salt Lake City Municipal Airport to provide for an extension of the present instrument runway and to provide for the necessary clear zone area at the north end of said runway, and to construct thereon ail necessary components of the instrument land system (lLS) required by the Federal Aviation Agency is hereby authorized. That said land hereinafter- described and the whole thereof Is hereby determined to be necessary and the most suitable for the enlargement and construction of said airport facilities, and the acquisition of said land E 120.0 feet, and west 534 feet, more or less, along the Airport property line, from the southeast corner of Section 20, T 1 N., R 1 W, S. L. B. & M; said point being S 89° 58' 32" E 482.15 feet from the centerline of the instrument runway, engineer's station 103+45.77. (bearing of centerline of instru- ment runway being N 4° 58' 32" W); thence N 3° 33' 19" E 2628 feet, more or less, to a point which is 50 feet south of the 40 acre line, said point being et right angles to the 40 acre line; thence west 1770.1 feet on a line parallel to the 40 acre line; thence S 13° 30' 23" E 2698 feet, more or less, to a point of intersection with the Airport property line; thence S 89 58' 32" E 977.1 feet to the point of beginning and containing 83 acres, more or less, including and subject to the rights of the North Point Canal Company to operate and maintain canal and ditches within the boundaries of the property herein described. �jj 0 Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this \'^ day of April, 1960. That the enlargement of the facilities of the Salt Lake City Municipal Airport to provide for an extension of the present instrument runway and to provide for the necessary clear zone area at the north end of said runway, and to construct thereon all necessary components of the instrument land system (ILS) required by the Federal Aviation Agency is hereby authorized. That said land hereinafter described and the whole thereof is hereby determined to be necessary and the most suitable for the enlargement and construction of said airport facilities, and the acquisition of said land by Salt Lake City for such purposes is hereby declared to be a public necessity and for the welfare and protection of the inhabitants of said city. That condemnation proceedings be and the same hereby are authorized to be brought in the name of Salt Lake City by the Law Department of Salt Lake City to acquire thereby all of the land hereinafter described for the necessary enlargement and construction of additional facilities at the Salt Lake City Municipal Airport as hereinabove set forth. The parcel of land hereinabove referred to and hereby authorized to be acquired by condemnation proceedings in accordance with the pro- visions of the statutes and the constitution of the State of Utah relating to eminent domain is situated in the county of Salt Lake, State of Utah, and is more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point N 89° 58' 32" W 1340.1 feet, N 0° 02' 25" E 1287.0 feet, and west 534 feet, more or less, along the Airport property line, from the southeast corner of Section 20, T 1 N., R 1 W, S. L.
