WHEREAS, H. EDWARD STEWARD is retiring from employment with the Salt Lake
City Department of Water Supply and Waterworks on February 28, 1974; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Steward has continuously served the residents of Salt Lake
City as a water department employee since February 4, 1934, with the exception
of military service during World War II; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Steward has served as a licensed plumber and foreman in charge
of all new water service work for the city; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Steward has faithfully and diligently performed his duties
with the city; and
WHEREAS, Salt Lake City and its residents owe him a debt of gratitude for
his devoted service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE
CITY, UTAH, that it does hereby express to H. Edward Steward, on behalf of the
Board and on behalf of the residents of Salt Lake City, its sincere appreciation
and gratitude for his devoted and capable service rendered in behalf of the
citizens of Salt Lake City. Said Board extends to Mr. and Mrs. Steward best
wishes for happiness and success in the days to come.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be delivered to
Mr. Steward.
