Greaser I;r Hogensen • Phillips Result ■■ RESOLUTION I/ RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE SALT LAKE CITY AIRPORT AUTHORITY. WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City International Airport has been selected by the FAA for a pilot noise study; and WHEREAS, Salt Lake City has engaged the firm of Olson Laboratories, Inc., to undertake said noise study and make its report (hereinafter referred to as "Report") to the City; and WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Airport Authority and the Board of Commissioners desire to appoint an Executive Committee to be respon- sible for representing the public and airport interests in regards said Report, to serve as the body for the conduct of public hearings concerning the Report and have final approval of said Report; and WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Board of Commissioners, on October 18, 1977, approved the establishment of said Executive Committee; and WHEREAS, Section 25-21-1 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as amended, requires that said Committee be established by resolution. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, that the Executive Committee of the Salt Lake City Airport Authority is hereby created as follows: 1. Members. Mayor Ted L. Wilson is hereby appointed as Chairman of said Committee and the following are hereby appointed as members of said Committee: Commissioner Jess A. Agraz - Salt Lake City Commissioner Commissioner William L. Hutchinson, Salt Lake County Commissioner Commissioner Glen W. Flint - Davis County Commission Don A. Mackey Mirvin D. Borthick Alvin W. Joseph William H. Kibbie Joseph Rosenblatt J. Alan Blodgett Kem C. Gardner 2. Purpose. The purpose of this Committee is to review the Report on the special noise study for the Salt Lake City International -2- Airport, hold public hearings and to accept and finally approve the Report. 3. Term of Office. The term of office of the committee members shall run until the noise study Report is accepted by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City. 4. Duties. The duties of this Committee shall be: (1) To receive the Noise Study Report, on behalf of Salt Lake City, at the time it is completed by Olson Laboratories, Inc.; (2) To represent the public and Airport interests regarding said Report; (3) To serve as the body for public hearings and to determine what public hearings will be required regarding said Report; (4) To review the Report and have the right of final approval of said Report; (5) To transmit said Report to the Board of Commissioners with its recommendations. 5. To Whom Responsible. The Committee shall be responsible to and shall report to said Board of Commissioners. 6. Compensation. The Committee members shall serve without com- pensation.
