RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, Lorna P. Helm commenced employment with Salt Lake
City Corporation in August 1956 serving L. C. "Renney" Romney,
City Commissioner of Parks as the City Switchboard Operator at
that time; and
WHEREAS, Salt Lake City is grateful for the services Mrs.
Helm has performed on its behalf and the City will sorely miss
her expertise as chief operator of the City and County telephone
switchboard; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Helm was transferred to work under the
jurisdiction of Salt Lake City Police Department on April 16,
1978; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Helm has faithfully, conscientiously,
effectively and honestly served the City for twenty-five years
and has earned the respect, admiration and friendship of her
colleagues.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Mayor and City Council of Salt Lake City
do hereby express to Lorna P. Helm on behalf of themselves and on
behalf of the residents of Salt Lake City, sincere appreciation
and gratitude for her devoted and capable services. The Mayor
and City Council further wishes her well in all pursuits as she
leaves the employment with Salt Lake City and hopes she will
derive great satisfaction in her retirement from knowing that she
has played an important role in her service to the City.
Passed by the Mayor and City Council of Salt Lake City,
