Kennedy, a member of the j! tBoard of Directors of the r Metropolitan Water District to ! go to the cities of San Francisco,' Oakland, Sacramento, Los Angel Hand elseshwere in the State of 1:1California, to inform themselves y in regard to experience of the said municipalities, in conned, j tion with construction of aqueduct and its appurtenant and incidental works, etc. to be !' made a part of the Provo hiverji Project. , i emmted to to Owed of Cmnmledo i AND 1d/WM) ,t x JUN 2 81938. dt4,pktotiortik I. of 1 I 'Date Filed ' ' Address 1 } 1' �IIIII I�,IL Keyser ' 7 Matheson - - - �r Zt�A L.0 13 Murdock Mr.Chairman - - - _ RES• UTION Result VHEREAS, the Metropolitan 'hater District of Salt Lake City has subscribed to 46,000 shares of the capital stock of the Provo River Water Users' Assocation and it is estimated that there will thereby accrue to the District 46,000 acre feet of water.,each year upon the completion of the Deer Creek Divislon of the Provo River Project, and VdHEriEAS, it is necessary to the distribution and use of the said water supply within the City of Salt Lake City that an aqueduct be constructed from the Deer Creek Reservoir to the Salt Lake Valley,and WHEREAS, the Metropolitan 'Water District of Salt Lake City was organized for the purpose of acquiring the said water supply for the benefit of and the use by Salt Lake City and it has, since its organization, procured the said aqueduct to be made a part of the Provo River Project and it now seems probable that the construction of the same will be commenced within the near future, and VHEREAS, the physical situation and condition of the said aqueduct and its appurtenant and incidental works and the details involved in the construction of all of them is of vital concern to the City and in regard to all of the same it desires to cooperate to the fullest extent with the Metropolitan 'Water District and by every reasonable method prepare itself therefor and avail itself of and make availadle to the District its own and the experience of others in regard to the same subject, and -2- Resolution WHEREAS, various municipalities of the State of California have had experience with undertakings of the same or a similar nature NOt,, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Engineer and the Superintendent of '+aterworks be and they are hereby authorized and directed to go to the cities of San Francisco, Oakland, Sacramento, Los Angeles and elsewhere in the State of California as they may be advised and to inform themselves in regard to the experience of the said municipalities concerning problems of the nature with which the City and the District will be confronted in the construction and utilization of the ._,,, said aqueduct and appurtenant and incidental works, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Mr.S. A.
