" n RESOLUTION
Result
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City
did on the 9th day of April, A. D. 1943, pass an ordinance amend-
ing Section 566 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah,
1934; and
WHEREAS, said Section 566 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, as amended provides in part that
leaves, rubbish, paper and other combustible material may be burned
when no dense smoke is emitted in violation of Section 1586 of the
Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, as amended by the
Board of Commissioners on May 14, 1941, by bill No. 22 and all
amendments thereto, during the days of each year and within the
hours of such days that may hereafter be designated and proclaimed
by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City upon the recommenda-
tion of the Commissioner of Streets and Public Improvements in a
resolution filed with the City necorder of Salt Lake City; and
WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Streets and Public Improve-
ments has recommended chat the citizens of Salt Lake City be permit-
ted to burn all leaves, rubbish, paper and other combustible material
not emitting dense smoke in violation of Section 1586 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, and amendments thereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Cosmnission-
ers of Salt Lake City that the citizens of Salt Lake City be and
they are hereby permitted for a period of sixty (60) days from the
date of the passage of this resolution to burn all leaves, rubbish,
paper and other combustible material which does not emit dense smoke
in violation of Section 1586 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake
City, Utah, 1934, as amended, at any place within the limits of
Salt Lake City which will not endange persons or proper /
