RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, James Frates was employed by Salt Lake City in
the Street Department for the past 37 years, and has now
voluntarily retired from further employment; and,
WHEREAS, during his employment with the city he has
faithfully and capably discharged the various duties assigned
to him; and,
WHEREAS, through his long tenure of service he has made
a significant contribution to the comfort and welfare of the
residents of the city and to the administration of the city
services:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF SALT LAKE CITY that said Board does hereby express to James
Frates, on behalf of said Board and the residents of Salt Lake
City, sincere thanks and appreciation for his faithful and de-
pendable service while in the employment of the city.
The City Recorder is hereby directed to deliver a copy of
this resolution to Mr. Frates.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah, this 4th day of May, 1967.
