RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Salt Lake City Corporation desires to submit an
application for a Wastewater Works Treatment Construction Grant
through the United States Environmental Protection Agency; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the proposed project is the rebuilding
and improvement of the Main North Pump Station at the sewage dis-
posal plant, Salt Lake City, Utah; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that an official of Salt
Lake City Corporation be authorized to act for and on behalf of
the corporation on all matters pertaining to said grant application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, that this Board does hereby appoint an
authorized E. J. (Jake) Garn, Mayor of Salt Lake City, to sign the
application grant and to furnish all information deemed reasonably
necessary in regard to the aforementioned grant application.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 6thc day of February , 1973.
