OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, William D. Keyting has served with distinction as an employee
of the Salt Lake City Engineering Department since January 21, 1946; and
WHEREAS, he worked his way up from analyst through Chief of Field
Engineering and in 1954 became the Sanitary Sewer Engineer, which position
he has held through February 1, 1976, the date of his retirement; and
WHEREAS, he has served successfully and cooperatively under five
Streets Commissioners and five different City Engineers; and
WHEREAS, he has been Project Engineer and otherwise supervised the
installation and function of many large and important projects in the City;
and
WHEREAS, the citizens of Salt Lake City owe Mr. Keyting a debt of
gratitude for his unselfish and diligent public work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, on behalf of themselves and all residents of Salt Lake City,
that it does hereby express appreciation for Mr. Keyting's diligent service,
and the City, on behalf of its citizens hereby commends William D. Keyting
for his noteworthy service.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of the Resolution be delivered to
William D. Keyting with the warmest wishes for happiness in his retirement.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
29th day of January, 1976.
