RES OLUT I ON .
WHEREAS, The Uth Light and Railway Company has petitioned ,
the Board of Commissioners of this city for permission to carry
over the lines of its railroad that runs from what is known as
"Holliday"r, fruits, vegetables , poultry, poultry products, dairy
products , and express or mail matter, through the city to its car
barns located on Second East Street between South Temple and First
South Streets:
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, Tr :t the petition

Light and Railway Company be, and the same is hereby granted upon
the following terms and conditions , to-wit:
That such fruits , vegetables, poultry, poultry products, dair7
products , and express or mail matter be carried in closed cars of
the same general construction and outside finish as it.,"a -1
passenger cars ; that no more than two cars shall be run at one tima;

that no such cars, nor produce , freight, express or mail matter

shall be unloaded in any street of Salt Lake City, or in any other !
place than at the car barns aforesaid; nor shall such cars be
permitted to stand on any street of Salt Lake City.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That said Utah Light and Railway .
Company pay into the City Treasury of Salt Lake City the sum of
:$50.00 per year for each car used in the transportation of such
produce, or express or mail matter; that on or before the 5th day
of January of each5, a•year, beginning January 191�, said Utah Light
and Railway Company shall furnish the Auditor of Salt Lake City a
verified statement of the number of cars used by it in transportin4
the produce, or express or mail matter aforesaid for the year pre-f
ceding, and on or before the 15th day of January of each year pay j
into the City Treasury the said sum of -50.00 for each of said card.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this permission shall extendi
for two years from the date of the passage of this resolution, and :

shall continue during the pleasure of the Board of Commissioners
of Salt Lake City.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this permission is given upoi
the distinct understanding that if said Utah Light and Railway
Company shall fail to comply with all of the terms and conditions
hereof, whether during the years above mentioned or thereafter, the
Board of Commissioners reserves the right to revoke this resolution
and cancel said permission.
