Result RESOLUTION
Whereas it appears from a notice this day received. from
Jas. H. Sullivan, County Auditor, that he has failed and refused
to extend on the general tax rolls the tax levied by the Board of
Commissioners by resolution dated July 31st, 1922, and certified
to the County Auditor on August 1st, but has returned the same for
correction or revision, claiming to act under instructions from the
Board of County Commissioners, and
Whereas the City Law Department has advised this Board that
said tax levy is legal and in conformity to the rate fixed by law;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the City Attorney be, and
he is hereby, authorized and directed to bring appropriate proceed-
ings in the Supreme Court to test the validity of said refusal, and
to commence such proceedings at once.
In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners, it is necessary
to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City
that this resolution become effective immediately.
This resolution shall take effect upon its passage.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of S t Lake City, Utah, this
day of August, 1922.
