RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, it is necessary to enlarge and construct the shops and
facilities of the Water Department of Salt Lake City, located on Edison
Street between 6th and 7th South Streets, and it is in the public interest
and for the public benefit that such construction and eriargenent of said
shops of the Salt Lake City Water Department be accomplished;
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH:
That it is necessary and to the public interest of said City and
its inhabitants that the City enlarge the shops and facilities of the
Water Department now located on Edison Street between 6th and 7th South
Streets, all in accordance with the plans and specifications heretofore
prepared for and approved by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
and that the enlargement and the construction of said shops and facilities
are hereby authorized;
That said land hereinafter described and the whole thereof is
hereby determined and necessary and the most suitable for the construction
end enlargement of the repair shops and facilities of the Water Depart-
ment, and the acquiring of said land by Salt Lake City for such purpose
is hereby declared to be a public necessity and for the good and well-
Wing and protection of the inhabitants of said city;
That condemnation proceedings be and the same are authorized to
be brought in the name of Salt Lake City by the Legal Department of
Salt Lake City to acquire by such proceedings all of the lane hereinafter
described for the proper and necessary enlargement and construction of

the shops and facilities of the Water Department.
The parcel of land hereinafter referred and authorized to be
condemned hereunder is situated in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County,
State of Utah, and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point 41.25 feet north of the southeast corner
of Lot 7, Block 20, Plat "A", Salt Lake City Survey; thence
north 41.25 feet; thence west 107.0 feet; thence south 41.25
feet; thence east 107.0 feet to the point of beginning.
Together with a perpetual right of way for all purposes over
and across and along that tract of land described as follows:
Commencing 6 rods 8 feet West from the Southeast corner of
said Lot 7, thence North 10 rods; thence West 8} feet; thence
North 10 rods; thence West 1 rod, thence South 20 rods; thence
East 25 feet to beginning.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
