:WHEREAS, in the interest of public service it is the desire
of the City Commission to prevent political activity and controversy
in the fire and police departments; be it
RESOLVED, that -the chief of each of these departments be,
and he is hereby instructed to make and enforce such rules as may be
necessary to prevent any member or members of said departments from
active participation in political campaign , local or ge r 1
