Resur
WHEREAS, By resolution this Commission recently
agreed that an adjustment of wages of laborers would be
"unfair unless based on character of work and length of
service", and "should receive consideration in its rela-
tion to the whole city." Now therefore, be it
RESOLVED That the wage of day laborers in each and
every department of the city, be fixed as follows:
For the first thirty (30) days the wage shall be
02.25 per day for eight (8) hours.
For the next thirty (30) days the laborer shall be
allowed 02.40 per day for continuous employment.
All day laborers remaining in the city employ con-
tinuously for a longer period than sixty days, shall be
allowed a wage of $2.50 per day.
Be it further
RESOLVED. That the above scale of wage shall apply
to all classes now receiving 12.25, and all those at this
time receiving a wage of less than S`>2.25, shall be granted
an increase of 25/ per day over and above the sum they are
now receiving.
