F"elly, 1475 Princeton Avenue, Salt Lake City, Utah. hear :"rs. I Telly and family: Cn behalf of the administration of Salt lake City, I bring you and the family of your illustrious husband, now of sacred memory, the a-preciation of this municipality for his life and labors. I bring you also our sincere sympathy in his passing. long has his name been honorably emblazoned on our :halt I.;.ke City sky-line. It stands today for enter- prise and fair dealing. Besides his interest in business affairs, his also was an active devotion to problems of community interest. He was liberal, indeed, in defraying the cost of this public-spiritedness out of his own private funds. The influence of your husband in our city has been a constructive and positive one. He was a community- builder. He always wanted his business premises to re- flect credit upon our city. They did. His editorials, which appeared from time to time in the local press, stressed ratters of public con- cern. They reflected a fine loyalty to our city and our state. They revealed Americanism at its best. We earnestly pray that the Father of us all may comfort you in this hour of sorrow. You hale the cherished memory of the life of a good man, a splendid husband and father, and a fine community leader. That fond memory should prove of great sol- ace to you now. Yours very sincerely, Salt Lake City Hoard of Commissioners i Y mar'_ J. Gla a•• r
